What are the payment conditions and what about billing?
Most Chinese manufacturers require full payment upon ordering or 30% upon ordering and the balance upon departure of the container.We can also offer the following payment conditions: 30% upon placing the order and the balance upon arrival of the container in the port of destination. Alternative payment conditions can be discussed, depending on the project.
Meyvaert Oriental offers following billing proces:
Meyvaert Oriental bills you; fee is included in the invoiced amount.
Many Chinese manufacturers do not provide a guarantee. But when the containers leave, the price has been paid in full whereas problems might still occur with quality, quantity, …
Meyvaert Oriental’s billing guarantee covers this:
- on-site quality control in accordance with your standards
- an extra percentage of goods included in the shipment
- replacing broken goods
- financial guarantees for QC, products, ...
Which costs can we expect from Meyvaert Oriental?
Meyvaert Oriental offers a wide range of services.
Our quote (billing) includes our services, which provides a large number of advantages:

- You do not execute unnecessary payments (manufacturer, agent and carrier). We offer an all-in price.
- Price negotiations are handled in your own language. You do not need to negotiate with the Chinese manufacturer, the transport agent, …

What is the communication like?
Our communication is not handled in one line, as we often see with trading agencies.
You will communicate with Meyvaert Oriental via an open triangle.
When dealing with a product that is already available on the market, you must envisage a period of 5 to 6 months from the first talks with Meyvaert Oriental until actual delivery in Europe.
For customized products, that period can last up to 8 to 12 months.
Is a container always the minimum ordering quantity?
Of course that depends on the product. The minimum purchase value for each project must be at least 50,000 USD.
What about compliance with European directives and quality?
Meyvaert Oriental will help you write a detailed technical document so the manufacturer can deliver a product that complies with all relevant Belgian and European standards and directives. We will help you with our years of experience, our in-house know-how and the careful selection of our partners.
